Investing in Safer Community Events in Atherstone

Atherstone Town Council is proud to have funded a 7-hour Road Closures for Community Events training course, attended by 12 dedicated volunteers from local Atherstone community event groups.

Giving up their Saturday to take part in the training, all 12 volunteers passed with flying colours! 🎉 They are now qualified to support road closures and help ensure public safety at local events, including Remembrance Day, the Car Show, Atherstone Partnership events, Dickens events and Phantom Knights.

👏 A huge thank you to Cllr Chris Jones of Atherstone Town Council for bringing these volunteers together, and to all 12 volunteers for their commitment, enthusiasm and continued contribution to our community.

By investing in training and supporting our fantastic local volunteers, we are helping to make Atherstone’s community events safer for everyone.
